Something the xbox 360 could have been but just fell short (due to daft limitations on only really being able to stream music and photo’s, and mostly via a media centre PC)… comes Apple’s cool new little device - the Apple TV
Formerly the iTV, it is now real and has USB 2.0, Ethernet, WiFi, HDMI, bunch of standard outs, and a 40GB hard drive.
720p resolution, up to five computers can connect to it, can watch movies, TV shows, photos, play music, and even pull full streaming video off a site.
Say goodbye to your bank balance folks - the Crowdstorm boys will be buying this for the office.

Why is this better than the Xbox 360? You cant download stuff directly to the Apple TV, you have to use iTunes first on your mac/pc… on the Xbox you download directly!
well - it may come down to content. Right now there is nothing of value to really download directly to the xbox 360 (I have one at home too), and when the IPTV element comes out - it depends who gets on board.
Plus - the management of the media is important and right now iTunes is great for this. I can only stream music and photos from my Mac to the 360 but not any of the movies or tv shows I own.
One thing - it’ll be interesting to see the battle ensue - but Apple has a great track record and my money is on them.
